Student Fund Services

The university offers a variety of services through the Student Fund aimed at providing a supportive and stable campus environment. These services include financial assistance for students in need, based on specific criteria, as well as interest-free loans to cover educational and personal expenses. Additionally, a student employment system provides part-time work opportunities within the campus in exchange for a set wage. The Student Service Centers also offer study supplies, books, and printing services at reasonable prices. These services help alleviate financial burdens, enhance academic stability, and allow students to focus on their studies and achieve success throughout their university journey.

Financial Assistance

The financial assistance is a monetary amount provided to regular Saudi university students or those with a Saudi mother, in cases where they face a particular circumstance and have the official documents to confirm this. It can also be granted if the student's monthly allowance has been suspended due to the expiration of the entitlement period. The assistance is a one-time payment of 500 SAR within the fiscal year, and it may be requested again each fiscal year, but a student is eligible for no more than three grants throughout their university studies.

 

Procedure for Requesting Assistance

Students wishing to receive financial assistance must visit the financial assistance officials at the Student Fund Administration, Deanship of Student Affairs. They must submit their request by filling out an assistance application form, which will be provided by the responsible staff member at the administration.

 

Requirements to Receive Assistance

  1. A copy of the student’s academic record.
  2. The student must be regularly enrolled at the time of applying for the assistance.
  3. The student must have good conduct and behavior, with no disciplinary actions taken against them.
  4. The assistance is intended for the student directly, not for supporting family members.
  5. At least one calendar year must have passed since the date of the last assistance request.
  6. The student’s monthly allowance must be suspended.

Loan

A loan is a monetary amount of 1,000 SAR provided to regular university students to cover their personal expenses or purchase educational devices. The loan is to be deducted from the student's monthly allowance at a rate of 250 SAR per month.

 

Procedure for Requesting a Loan

Students wishing to obtain a loan must visit the officials at the Student Fund Administration, Deanship of Student Affairs. They need to submit their request by filling out the loan application form, which will be provided by the responsible staff member at the administration.

 

Requirements to Receive a Loan

  1. The student must be regularly enrolled at the time of applying for the loan.
  2. The student must have good conduct and behavior, with no disciplinary actions taken against them.
  3. The student’s monthly allowance must be continuous.
  4. The student’s cumulative GPA must not be less than 2.5 out of 5.
  5. The loan amount cannot exceed 1,000 SAR.
  6. The student must have completed a full semester of study before submitting a loan request.
  7. The student can only apply for a new loan after the previous loan has been fully repaid.
  8. The remaining duration of the student’s studies must be sufficient to cover the requested loan amount.

Student Employment System

This system allows regular students to work within the university, with a wage of 10 SAR per hour, not to exceed 50 hours per month.

 

Application Process for the Student Employment System

Students can approach their academic advisor in the college or visit the Student Fund Administration at the Deanship of Student Affairs.

 

Application Requirements

  1. The student must be regularly enrolled at the time of applying.
  2. The student must have good conduct and behavior, with no disciplinary actions taken against them.
  3. Priority is given to students whose allowance has been discontinued.
  4. The student is not allowed to work in the student employment program for more than 3 months during the academic year.
  5. The student is not allowed to combine the financial aid with the student employment system.
  6. The student is not allowed to work more than 50 hours in one month.
  7. The hourly wage is 10 SAR.

Academic Supplies Center

This center is responsible for providing textbooks, stationery, photocopying and printing services, and other study materials in the colleges at competitive prices.

 

How to Access the Service

The student should visit the designated service center in each college.

Scholarship Services

ATM Cards Distribution

ATM cards are distributed at the beginning of each academic year to new students. The distribution times are announced through the social media platforms of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

Excellence Scholarship

The excellence scholarship is granted to regular Saudi students or those with a Saudi mother if the student achieves a semester GPA of 4.50 for two consecutive semesters within the same academic year. The amount of the scholarship is 1,000 SAR.

Monthly Student Allowance

The monthly student allowance is granted to regular Saudi students or those with a Saudi mother. It amounts to 990 SAR for students in science and health colleges, and 840 SAR for those in humanities colleges.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Receiving the Monthly Allowance
  1. The student must not have exceeded the official study duration.
  2. The student's cumulative GPA must not be less than 2.0 out of 5.
Disability Allowance for Students with Disabilities

A monthly disability allowance is provided to students with disabilities during their university studies. The amount is determined by the Ministry of Social Affairs based on the student’s condition.

 

How to Apply for the Disability Allowance

Students wishing to receive the disability allowance should visit the Disability Support Unit at the Deanship of Student Affairs and submit the comprehensive rehabilitation letter specifying the level of disability. The responsible staff member will then complete the application process.

 

Eligibility Requirements for the Disability Allowance
  1. An official letter from the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center stating the level of the student’s disability.
  2. Students with moderate disabilities receive 1,500 SAR.
  3. Students with severe disabilities receive 5,240 SAR.
Installment Plan for Smart Devices and Training Programs

This service allows students to pay for smart devices and training programs in installments through deductions from their monthly allowance.

 

How to Apply
  1. If a student wishes to purchase a device in installments after the Deanship announces availability via its social media accounts, they must visit the Scholarships Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs and fill out the application form.
  2. For training programs, the student should complete the application form through the Training and Qualification Center (Mohtarif Center).

 

Installment Conditions
  1. The student's cumulative GPA must not be less than 2.75 out of 5.
  2. The remaining period in the student’s academic plan must be sufficient to cover the installment payments.
  3. The student must not have any outstanding loan or unpaid installment.
