Research Funding:

The University of Tabuk works to promote innovative research through dedicated funding programs aimed at supporting research ideas that contribute to community development and improving quality of life. Establishing a pivotal research environment is one of the university's primary objectives, as it aims to strengthen its research and innovation identity by funding research proposals related to vital and diverse fields. The University of Tabuk's innovative research funding programs are ideal platforms for researchers to present their innovative ideas and transform them into tangible projects that contribute to addressing national challenges. These programs specifically target solutions related to various development sectors, enhancing the university's role in achieving sustainable development goals.

The university directs financial support to research that solves real problems facing society, both locally and nationally. Researchers and innovators at the university can submit proposals related to developing new technologies and creating effective solutions to various economic and social challenges, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to achieve integrated development and move towards a knowledge-based society. Funding research proposals is not limited to financial support alone. For example, the International Partnerships to Serve a Local Beneficiary track is one of the innovation tracks. This track aims to enhance the global reputation of the University of Tabuk by forming joint international research groups between researchers from the University of Tabuk and international researchers from prestigious international universities to find innovative solutions to challenges facing local sectors. The other funding track, the Bridge Track for Innovation for Impact Grants, targets groups that have met the requirements of the first phase, the research phase, through which these groups are linked to the second phase, the development phase. During this phase, work is done to develop a prototype of the target product that was protected during the first phase of support. The product is implemented in the region of the project's beneficiary partner to ensure support and adoption of the innovative product, and to ensure the quality of the innovative outputs of the funded projects.

Research Groups:

Research groups at the University of Tabuk are an essential part of the university's research strategy roadmap. These groups primarily aim to develop effective solutions to various national challenges, in addition to promoting regional projects, reflecting the university's commitment to supporting sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By forming these groups, the University of Tabuk seeks to attract the best minds from within and outside the country. Members of the research groups include members of the university's local and international partners, including specialists from the top 200 universities worldwide. This step aims to ensure the exchange of knowledge and expertise, thereby achieving research results with a significant development impact. These research groups are funded through innovative funding programs, enabling them to effectively implement their ideas and research. Continuous financial support is provided to these groups, facilitating their access to the resources necessary to achieve their research goals.
Each research group is granted a renewable three-year term, which gives the groups the opportunity to evaluate their achievements and adapt their strategies to reflect changing national needs and emerging challenges. At the end of the third year, each group must present an applied product related to solving research challenges in a development sector. This product must be applicable in real life, reflecting the research findings and contributing to the improvement of various vital areas in society.

In this way, the research groups at the University of Tabuk contribute to promoting innovative thinking and developing sustainable solutions, contributing to building an active and advanced knowledge society.
