This research group focuses on the synthesis of nanostructured materials and the application of nanoparticles and nanostructured thin-film technologies in biomedical, environmental, wastewater treatment, and corrosion prevention fields. A key objective is to translate laboratory-scale research into industrial-scale development of innovative products.

Research activities include the development of new materials derived from renewable plant- and crop-based resources, biomaterials, polymers, photocatalytic systems, waste treatment and management technologies, and sustainable resource utilization.
