Publication on the home page

Publishing on the home page is the prerogative of the site’s administrators, and the first reference in managing that page for the Deanship of Information Technology is represented by its dean and its administration. The publishing mechanism on that page is very similar, whether the material desired to be published is a news or an advertising link. Note that publishing on the main page is only for prominent news and advertising links to events or events, and service links linked to the university.

Mechanism for publishing the main news

Submit a request long enough in an official letter addressed to His Excellency the Dean of Information Technology, provided that it includes an electronic copy that includes the following:
A text file that includes ((news title)) as well as ((brief description)) in addition to ((full story)) provided that the texts fulfill the general publishing policies.
An image that is appropriate for the news and is consistent with the colors and design of the site, and the image is in one of the common formats png, jpg, jpeg and size of 666x340 pixels. Also, consideration should be given to the quality of the image and its relevance to the event or news.
A thumbnail image that is placed inside the news page, and it has dimensions of 150 x 150 pixels. The image quality should be considered. If not attached, a virtual photo that includes the university's logo will be included.
In the event that the publication is approved by the Dean / Director of Administration, the portal section is directed to publish the news.

Mechanism for fixing the main news

Submit a request long enough in an official letter addressed to the Dean of Information Technology indicating the entity’s desire to clearly confirm the news, provided that it includes an electronic copy that includes the following:
A text file that includes ((news title)) as well as ((brief description)) in addition to ((full story)) provided that the texts fulfill the general publishing policies.
An image that is appropriate for the news and is consistent with the colors and design of the site, and the image is in one of the common formats png, jpg, jpeg and size of 666x340 pixels. Also, consideration should be given to the quality of the image and its relevance to the event or news.

Mechanism for publishing advertising links

Submit a request long enough in an official letter addressed to His Excellency the Dean of Information Technology, provided that it includes an electronic copy that includes the following:
Two images are identical for the advertisement and are consistent with the colors and design of the site, and they are both in one of the popular formats png, jpg, jpeg, one of them is 396x132 pixels and the other is 850x132 pixels. Also, consideration should be given to the quality of the images and their relevance to the event or news.
The URL of the site linked to the event is written in a text file.
Include the proposed period of time for the end of the period of fixing the news in the letter.
In the event that the publication is approved by the Dean / Director of Administration, the portal section is directed to publish the news.

Publication on the internal pages

Publication on the internal pages is considered to be the prerogative of the entity that relates to those pages, and accounts are assigned based on an official request from those authorities submitted to the Deanship of Information Technology. The responsible of the entity shall be a partner in the responsibility for what is published on those pages even if he is not given an electronic account on the site. His responsibility is to follow up on what is published on that agency’s website, in addition to checking the validity of the published data.

Also, the accounts are given at the request of the authorities, and a "work flow" mechanism can be applied so that the user is given an account that does not entitle him to direct publication, but gives him the power to edit the news and submit it for approval. The other takes an account to approve the pending news that you have provided by other users on the same side.

The mechanism of publishing in the internal pages:
Publishing on the internal pages does not require any permissions unless the entity has approved the "work flow" mechanism, in which case the editor submits an electronic accreditation request to publish the news, and the site administrator also electronically approves its publication. Most of the contents are very similar in administration and editing, and only the aforementioned general policies and controls should be taken into account.

And when there is a need to add additional pages or menus or change menus, as well as make a fundamental change in the header or borders of the page, the approved steps should be followed:

Submit a request by an official letter addressed to His Excellency the Dean of Information Technology, which clearly includes what the entity wishes to add or amend.
If the request is to change the header of the page or the avatar, a CD must be attached to the request containing the image to be approved, taking into account its consistency with the colors of the site as well as the quality of the image and its dimensions are 960x256 pixels.
If the request is approved, it is referred to the portal section for execution.

Publishing in the internal pages

Publishing in the "University News" pages is considered the prerogative of the Public Relations and Media Department, which is the only agency authorized to receive an account on those pages. And only the general restrictions of publishing should be taken into account, except when there is a need to add additional pages or lists or change the lists, the steps followed for that:

Submit a request by an official letter addressed to His Excellency the Dean of Information Technology, which clearly includes what the entity wishes to add or amend.
If the request is to change the header of the page or the avatar, a CD must be attached to the request containing the image to be approved, taking into account its consistency with the colors of the site as well as the quality of the image and its dimensions are 960x256 pixels.
If the request is approved, it is referred to the portal section for execution.
