"Don't wait for opportunities to come to you—create them from nothing.
I entered university without a roadmap, but with one conviction: life is not meant to be lived from the sidelines. I never wanted to be just another name on a list or someone who passed through unnoticed. I wanted an experience that would transform me, because I believe we are shaped by our experiences, and self-discovery comes not only through reflection, but through action and experimentation.
My journey began with the Deanship of Student Affairs, where I learned that people are built by what they do, not merely by what they intend to do. I invested thousands of hours in programs and initiatives. I experimented, failed, faced closed doors, and saw many attempts end before they could succeed. At first, failure hurt me; later, it became my greatest teacher. I realized that some lessons cannot be taught—they must be lived, and that what does not happen today may be preparing you for greater opportunities tomorrow.
As my responsibilities grew, so did my opportunities. I worked on major projects, helped organize significant events, met decision-makers, represented my country at international forums, and stood on global award stages. That is the part people see. What they do not see is the journey behind it: long hours of hard work, countless unsuccessful attempts, and decisions made in moments of uncertainty.
I was never chasing achievements to add to my résumé—I was searching for an impact that would remain after I was gone. Creating lasting impact is the harder path because it requires giving without expecting anything in return. Along the way, one phrase became a guiding principle in my life: 'A person's true legacy is the impact they leave behind, so make your legacy a good one.'
As the Qur'an says: 'And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives.' (Qur'an 53:39)
Today, my presence in this publication may stand as evidence of what I have achieved, but the real legacy is what remains in the people I worked with and those who shared this journey with me. The University of Tabuk was where the journey began—and it will always remain the place closest to my heart."
