Aims to support applied research that offers innovative solutions to local community issues, in alignment with the university’s strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 (A Vibrant Society).

Initiative Objectives

The Community-Based Research and Innovation Initiative at the University of Tabuk aims to:

  1. Identify high-priority community issues that require in-depth scientific studies.
  2. Raise awareness of the importance of evidence-based research in supporting policies and legislation.
  3. Promote a research culture in the humanities and social sciences.
  4. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers.
  5. Support community entities with sustainable scientific solutions that help reduce burdens and improve quality of life.

Community Topics and Issues

The University of Tabuk is committed to identifying high-priority community issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, through periodic survey studies to assess community needs and challenges. University-affiliated researchers are encouraged to propose innovative and socially driven solutions to these issues.

Consultations have been held with several related entities, resulting in the identification of a set of community topics and issues, which are detailed in the attached guideline manual.
