Program Goals
• K.1. Determine main ideas and detailed information when exposed to graded academic, ESP authentic reading, and listening materials.
• K.2. Read and think critically by differentiating between facts and opinions.
• S.1. Become an independent learner of the language capable of developing their English language performance.
• S.2. Write focused, organized, and well[1]developed essays, which demonstrate competence in standard English grammar and usage.
• S.3. Establish critical reading, writing, and thinking skills through analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of important ideas.
• S.4. Employ target academic and ESP vocabulary in spoken and written production.
• S.5. Produce oral and written reflections on graded academic and ESP videos using target grammar and lexis.
• S.6. Develop an oral argument in academic and ESP themes supporting their positions.
• V.1. Apply culturally appropriate themes in language production within appropriate time/date constraints.
