Our Department is dedicated to preparing students for successful careers in the tourism, hospitality, and travel sectors at both local and international levels. Department of Tourism and Hospitality

 

The Department of Tourism and Hospitality is one of the core academic departments within the College of Tourism and Hospitality at University of Tabuk. It was established in alignment with the strategic vision of Saudi Arabia to develop the tourism and hospitality sector as a key driver of economic diversification under Saudi Vision 2030.

The Department plays a pivotal role in preparing qualified national talents capable of meeting the growing demand in tourism, hospitality, and travel sectors at both regional and international levels. This is particularly significant in light of the Kingdom’s major tourism developments, especially in the Tabuk region, which has emerged as a strategic hub for sustainable tourism development and global investment attraction.

The Department offers three specialized diploma programs that integrate theoretical foundations with practical professional competencies:

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management
  • Diploma in Food and Beverage Management
  • Diploma in Travel and Tourism

These programs are designed to respond directly to labor market needs, with a strong focus on operational excellence, service quality, cultural awareness, and the development of industry-relevant skills. The curricula incorporate international best practices while preserving the authentic values, principles, and cultural etiquette of Saudi Arabia.

One of the Department’s key strengths is that all graduates receive an accreditation certificate from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, one of the world’s leading institutions in tourism and hospitality education. To prepare students to specialize in fields such as management, marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, tourism and hospitality technologies, food and beverage management, and tourism and hospitality management, enabling them to secure strong employment opportunities aligned with their specializations.
