The Department of Community and Psychiatric Nursing at the College of Nursing, University of Tabuk, is dedicated to preparing qualified nursing professionals capable of providing comprehensive healthcare and psychosocial support to individuals, families, and communities, with a strong focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
Community Health Nursing
This specialty emphasizes improving the overall health of the community by promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing diseases. The department works on developing students’ understanding of the factors affecting community health and on designing programs and policies that contribute to raising health awareness and enhancing quality of life. Students also receive practical training in primary healthcare centres and the clinical simulation unit at the University of Tabuk, enabling them to gain hands-on experience in delivering preventive and comprehensive care to different population groups.
Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing
This specialty focuses on providing care for individuals with mental and psychological disorders. The department equips students with theoretical knowledge and core concepts in mental health nursing, complemented by practical training in psychiatric hospitals and the clinical simulation unit at the University of Tabuk. During their training, students participate in various therapeutic, rehabilitative, and educational activities, which enhance their practical skills and prepare them to deliver professional and compassionate care to patients with mental health conditions.
