All praise is due to Allah, who taught humanity what they did not know, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the first teacher of mankind, and upon his family and companions.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Vice Deanship of the College of Medicine – Female Students Section, which serves as an interactive electronic platform aimed at strengthening communication with our students, graduates, esteemed faculty members, and all those concerned with advancing medical education in our distinguished college.

The Vice Deanship of the College of Medicine – Female Students Section represents a cornerstone in supporting academic and student-related efforts within the college. It strives to achieve academic excellence by enhancing the learning environment and providing comprehensive support for students and graduates.

The Vice Deanship oversees several units that actively contribute to strengthening educational aspects, student activities, and academic and instructional development within the college, thereby creating a supportive and motivating educational environment.

These units include: the Student Activities and Community Service Unit, the E-Learning Unit, the Alumni Affairs Unit, and the Academic Advising Unit. Each unit aims to provide the best services for our students, graduates, and faculty members, contributing to the development of their academic and professional skills and preparing them to become leaders in the medical field.

Our Mission
The Vice Deanship of the College of Medicine – Female Students Section seeks to provide comprehensive support to our students throughout their educational journey and to create an integrated academic environment that keeps pace with the latest technological advancements. This environment aims to enhance students’ scientific and practical skills, enabling them to perform efficiently in the medical field while adhering to ethical and professional values and engaging positively with the academic and medical community, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

Academic Advising Unit
Responsibilities
Distributing students among academic advisors and sending lists to students and faculty members at the beginning of each academic year.
Following up on the monthly reports submitted by academic advisors.
Monitoring academic issues raised by advisors and contributing to developing plans to address them.
Roles of Academic Advisors
Providing academic, professional, social, and psychological guidance for students.
Preparing students for the transition from general education to university life and helping them adapt.
Introducing students to the rules and regulations of the college and university.
Explaining academic requirements, study plans, teaching methods, and assessment approaches.
Monitoring students’ academic progress and achievements.
Enhancing students’ academic performance and study skills while helping them overcome challenges during their academic journey.
Supporting outstanding students to maintain and further improve their abilities.
Identifying talented students and directing them to appropriate clubs or units that nurture their talents and creativity.
Identifying and supporting students with weak academic performance to reduce the likelihood of academic difficulties and dropout.
Participating in plans to improve student performance.
Monitoring student attendance rates and reviewing submitted excuses.
Student Activities and Community Service Unit
Responsibilities
Activating and strengthening the role of the college and its members in serving the community.
Developing and implementing the college’s annual community service plan after approval.
Providing community health awareness and training programs.
Encouraging students to conduct activities that promote positive health values within society.
Providing programs that support disease prevention and control within the community.
Organizing open days to welcome community members and public/private institutions and introducing them to the college’s programs and faculty members.
Establishing partnerships aimed at solving environmental and public health issues.
Providing educational, consultative, and therapeutic services to the community through voluntary partnerships with community institutions.
Enhancing healthcare services in the region through cooperation between the college and healthcare and educational institutions.
Identifying the most urgent community issues and determining services that can be addressed through the college’s programs.
Coordinating among college departments to provide diverse community services.
Communicating with relevant community institutions.
Organizing meetings, seminars, scientific lectures, and training courses that contribute to community service.
Motivating faculty members to participate in activities that promote positive health values in society.
Encouraging faculty members to provide awareness and treatment activities that benefit the community.
Promoting a culture of volunteerism and community service among students and faculty members.
Measuring community satisfaction with the provided services.
E-Learning Unit
Responsibilities
Enhancing the quality of traditional educational processes through the integration of e-learning technologies.
Transforming some courses from traditional formats into interactive electronic learning formats that encourage critical thinking, discussion, dialogue, and active participation to support student-centered learning.
Providing diverse educational resources that motivate students and improve their academic performance.
Promoting self-learning and lifelong learning while enhancing e-learning skills among college members.
Encouraging collaboration and coordination among students and developing teamwork and leadership skills through participation in distinguished and effective learning communities.
Alumni Affairs Unit
Responsibilities
Establishing and updating databases for graduates, employers, and workplaces.
Developing communication mechanisms with graduates and employers and strengthening relationships with them.
Supervising alumni affairs and monitoring graduates’ academic and professional progress, their societal impact, and employer satisfaction with their performance.
Providing consultation for graduates regarding scholarships and postgraduate programs.
Preparing and implementing alumni and employer evaluation surveys.
Collecting and analyzing survey results from graduates and employers.
Receiving suggestions from graduates and employers, preparing periodic reports, and submitting them to the Quality and Development Unit for performance improvement.
Inviting graduates to participate in various college activities.
Keeping graduates informed about the latest college news.
Organizing training courses in medical, clinical, and diagnostic skills to improve graduates’ opportunities for obtaining training positions through the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
