Our mission is centered on preparing distinguished physicians who are scientifically and professionally competent, committed to the highest standards of medical ethics, and capable of responding to the rapid advancements and challenges within the healthcare sector. Through our academic and training programs, we continuously work to enhance the quality of medical education and achieve standards of excellence in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

To organize, develop, and oversee the educational process efficiently through supervising academic programs, schedules, and examinations; supporting students; and ensuring the quality of educational outcomes.
Objectives of the Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs
1. Development of Academic Programs and Study Plans
To develop and review study plans and academic programs to ensure alignment with national and international standards, achieve curriculum integration, and meet labor market requirements.
2. Organization and Management of the Educational Process
To enhance the efficiency of educational management through organizing academic registration, planning course schedules, and ensuring the smooth implementation of educational activities without conflicts.
3. Supporting Students’ Academic Performance
To improve students’ academic performance through monitoring their academic progress, addressing registration issues, and providing appropriate academic support and guidance.
4. Enhancing the University Student Experience
To provide a supportive and motivating educational environment through comprehensive services (academic, psychological, and social) that enhance student engagement and success.
5. Development of Assessment and Examination Systems
To improve the efficiency of assessment and examination systems through the implementation of unified standards, ensuring the quality of examinations, and promoting fairness and transparency in assessment.
6. Ensuring the Quality of the Educational Process
To implement quality assurance and academic accreditation standards across all aspects of the educational process and monitor performance indicators to ensure achievement of intended learning outcomes.
7. Enhancing the Efficiency of Educational Resources
To ensure the availability and continuous updating of educational resources (references, technologies, and laboratories) in support of high-quality teaching and learning aligned with modern developments.
8. Developing Students’ Professional and Ethical Competencies
To strengthen students’ professional and ethical competencies through supporting training programs and educational activities related to professional ethics.
9. Promoting Institutional Integration and Coordination
To strengthen coordination and integration among academic and administrative units to ensure effective implementation of programs and plans and achieve continuous improvement.
Committees and Units of the Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs
First: Educational Affairs Unit
Definition
An organizational unit concerned with managing and monitoring academic processes related to student registration and academic records, ensuring data accuracy and smooth academic procedures in accordance with approved regulations.
Responsibilities
Monitoring student registration processes and verifying their accuracy.
Coordinating with the Deanship of Admission and Registration to resolve registration issues.
Implementing add/drop procedures and group transfers.
Preparing and printing student lists and academic records.
Monitoring and periodically updating students’ academic data.
Reviewing students’ eligibility status and coordinating with relevant authorities.
Following up examination results, recording final grades, and processing approvals.
Providing academic data to support decision-making.
Supervising the overall planning of academic schedules in coordination with relevant entities.
Second: Student Affairs Unit
Definition
A unit concerned with providing academic support, guidance, and student services that contribute to improving the student experience and enhancing academic success.
Responsibilities
Supporting students in resolving registration issues and coordinating study schedules.
Receiving student requests related to examinations and lectures and referring them to the appropriate departments.
Receiving cases requiring psychological, social, or academic support and referring them to the concerned entities.
Organizing orientation programs for new students and providing academic advising.
Strengthening communication channels between students, academic departments, college vice deanships, and the deanship.
Third: Academic Programs and Study Plans Committee
Definition
A specialized academic committee responsible for developing and reviewing academic programs and study plans while ensuring their quality and alignment with national and international standards.
Responsibilities
Proposing developmental solutions based on analytical studies.
Supervising the implementation of curriculum and program development plans.
Reviewing course specifications and ensuring alignment with learning outcomes.
Aligning programs with the National Qualifications Framework and accreditation requirements.
Monitoring the implementation of course report recommendations and improvement plans.
Submitting development recommendations to the relevant authorities for approval.
Preparing periodic reports on program development.
Fourth: Educational Affairs Committee for Basic Medical Years
Definition
An academic committee responsible for supervising the organization, implementation, and evaluation of basic medical sciences courses to ensure the quality and integration of the educational process.
Responsibilities
Planning and supervising the implementation of courses in the basic medical years.
Monitoring the educational process and ensuring its smooth operation.
Addressing academic issues related to courses.
Reviewing course specifications and recommending improvements.
Preparing and updating the study guides for the basic years.
Organizing educational activities and assessment methods.
Supervising grading processes and grade recording.
Reviewing student excuses and taking appropriate actions.
Fifth: Examination Coordination Unit
Definition
An organizational unit responsible for planning and organizing examination schedules and supervising examination procedures to ensure efficient implementation and fair assessment.
Responsibilities
Preparing examination schedules and assigning halls and invigilators.
Designing standardized examination templates according to approved standards.
Monitoring examination implementation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Educating students regarding examination rules and instructions.
Organizing national examinations such as the Progress Test.
Preparing examination completion reports and invigilator attendance records in coordination with course coordinators.
Sixth: Medical Laboratories Unit
Definition
A unit concerned with managing and operating teaching and research laboratories and ensuring their readiness to support educational and research activities according to safety and quality standards.
