About the College

The University College of Umluj was established as a result of restructuring the Girls' Health Sciences College in Tabuk. It was administratively, financially, and academically integrated into the University of Tabuk based on the Higher Education Council’s decision No. 23/48/1429, taken in its 44th session held on 21/10/1427 AH, regarding approval for its restructuring and establishment. This decision was endorsed by the Royal Decree No. 5088/MB dated 7/8/1432.

The College began (female section) operations in the Sixth Primary School building with three academic departments: Mathematics, Islamic Studies, and Languages and Translation. In 1433, the Biology Department was introduced, followed by the Nursing Department in 1434, the Arabic Language Department, and the Computer Science Department in 1435. In the second semester of the academic year 1435/1436, the new building for the University College of Umluj (female section) was inaugurated.

In the first semester of the academic year 1434/1435, the male section was activated with three departments: Islamic Studies, Languages and Translation, and Computer Science. In 1435/1436, the Mathematics Department was introduced, followed by the Arabic Language Department in 1436/1437, and the Nursing Department in 1439.

Initially, classes for the male section were conducted in rented buildings until the end of the first semester of the academic year 1442. At the beginning of the second semester of the same year, the college (male section) relocated to Building No. 5 within the Technical College complex.

On the level of applied programs, the college offers several intermediate diplomas through the Applied College branch in Umluj since the academic year 1444 such as Diploma programs in Risk Management and Insurance, Network Systems Management and Human Resources Management Diploma, along with the previously available bachelor’s programs.
