The Department of Biology is one of the essential and dynamic departments within the College of Science. Recognizing the value of knowledge as the foundation of advanced societies and progress, the department has, since its establishment, been committed to providing the community with highly qualified graduates who possess strong academic backgrounds and the essential knowledge and skills required in the field. Students graduate with a broad and solid foundation that enables them to compete effectively in the labor market or pursue postgraduate studies. Biology is concerned with the study of living organisms at all levels, and the department offers a Bachelor's degree in Biology. The department is proud to have a distinguished group of faculty members with extensive expertise and experience. In addition to teaching, faculty members actively conduct scientific research published in internationally refereed journals.
