Design and Implementation of a Pneumatic Control Panel | Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Sadek Bazartow |
A group of mechanical engineering students at the University of Tabuk, , designed and implemented an integrated pneumatic control panel as a training project (Mini Project). This project was developed due to the current unavailability of a laboratory for the Hydraulics and Pneumatics course, as well as the importance of this field within the mechanical engineering discipline and the students’ need for hands-on practical practice. The system controls the motion of two pneumatic cylinders through a set of various pneumatic valves and sensors, along with an air compressor and a compressed air preparation (air treatment) unit, all interconnected through a compressed air circuit, as illustrated in the figure. |

Design and Implementation of a Pneumatic-Control Transfer System | Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Sadek Bazartow | A group of mechanical engineering students at the University of Tabuk, , designed and implemented a pneumatic-based material handling device as a training project (Mini Project). This project was developed due to the current unavailability of a laboratory for the Hydraulics and Pneumatics course, as well as the importance of this field within the mechanical engineering discipline and the students’ need for hands-on practical training. The system controls the motion of two pneumatic cylinders using a set of various pneumatic valves and air sensors, along with an air compressor and a compressed air treatment unit, all interconnected through a compressed air circuit, as illustrated in the figure. The first cylinder pushes the product from a storage bin toward the path of the second cylinder and then retracts. Subsequently, the second cylinder pushes the product forward onto a chute that leads to a product collection bin, after which it retracts again in preparation for the continuous repetition of the operating cycle. |

Design and Implementation of an Electro-Pneumatic Control Panel | Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Sadek Bazartow |
A group of mechanical engineering students at the University of Tabuk,, designed and implemented an integrated electro-pneumatic control panel as a mini project. This project was developed due to the current lack of a laboratory for the Hydraulics and Pneumatics course, as well as the importance of this field within the mechanical engineering discipline and the students’ need for hands-on practical application. The system controls the motion of two pneumatic cylinders using a set of electro-pneumatic valves and various proximity sensors (inductive, capacitive, and photoelectric sensors), which are connected to an electrical control circuit based on relay logic, as illustrated in the figure. |
