The Department of Arabic Language is revered to teach the language of the most honorable book, the Holy  Qur’an. The Department of Arabic Language is one of the first-born and  the biggest  Departments at the University of Tabuk.  The Department began its scientific activity since the establishment of the Teachers College in the region and continued its activity after the formation of the university. The number of academic members  of the  Department is fifty-five (According to the statistics of 1440) AH

The Department of Arabic Language, along with its, counterparts  at the university, contribute to achieving the university’s educational and research objectives . It has  two academic options, the first: a bachelor’s program in Arabic language and literature. The second: a master’s program in Arabic language and literature, with two tracks: linguistics, and literature and rhetoric. The Department presents, through these curricula, educational courses in the Arabic language in  the copious specializations  of language, literature, and rhetoric. The Department has updated the plans of the bachelor's and master's programs to cope with modern linguistics, meanwhile maintaining ingenuity in dealing with the Arab heritage.
