Head Message

The past decades have witnessed significant developments in the fields of computing and information technology, supported by tremendous advances in communications, networks, and biotechnology, profoundly impacting various aspects of our lives. In response to this development, the Department of Computer Science was established in the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Tabuk University as its first department. The department offers a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science after students complete a comprehensive curriculum covering the most important fields of knowledge required by the labor market.

The department aims to prepare distinguished graduates with analytical, design, and innovative capabilities, essential for working in the field of computing. To achieve this, the department relies on student-centered scientific and cultural activities to enhance their skills and develop their capabilities, enabling them to contribute effectively and efficiently to society. The program also provides a unique educational environment that enables students to acquire the latest knowledge and skills in computer science by interacting with experts in the field, enhancing their theoretical, practical, and research skills.

The Computer Science program focuses on combining theory with practical application, relying on international standards such as ACM/IEEE in developing its curriculum. The program has received international academic accreditation from ABET and is seeking local accreditation from the National College of Education (NCAAA). The department thus contributes to preparing graduates capable of providing innovative solutions to meet the needs of the local and global community in the field of computer science.
