Overview

The Community Responsibility Unit activates the College of Business's role in serving the community and expanding its developmental impact. It plans and follows up on meaningful initiatives that align with the colleges and university’s strategic objectives and connect academic expertise with community needs.

The unit promotes a culture of social responsibility and volunteerism among faculty, staff, and students. It also monitors, documents, and evaluates community initiatives and coordinates with relevant university and community stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and sustainable impact.

Objectives

  1. Develop the college’s community responsibility action plan in alignment with its strategic goals.
  2. Monitor the implementation of community responsibility initiatives within the operational plan.
  3. Prepare tools and templates for tracking and documenting initiatives.
  4. Promote a culture of community responsibility and volunteerism among college members.
  5. Follow up on the registration and participation of college members in official volunteering platforms.
  6. Review and approve registered community events through the university's approved systems.
  7. Support academic departments in preparing community responsibility files and evidence.
  8. Document unit achievements and prepare periodic and annual reports.
  9. Strengthen community partnerships that enhance the college’s societal impact.
  10. Support initiatives that connect academic knowledge with community and business needs.
