Marketing is one of the important fields for all types and activities, whether industrial, commercial, or service-oriented. The significance of marketing is reflected in the fact that many professionals in the business sector engage in marketing activities, including product planning, sales, trade, promotion, electronic marketing, e-commerce, marketing research and studies, marketing consultancy and economic feasibility studies, customer service, and more.
The idea of establishing the Marketing Department arose to meet the increasing demand from male and female students wishing to study this specialization, and to fulfill the needs of business organizations for graduates specialized in this field to work in both the public and private sectors. The marketing program curriculum has been developed to include diverse courses that enable students to understand and grasp modern marketing concepts and develop practical skills in marketing and its applications. This prepares them to face the challenges of the twenty-first century and effectively deal with recent developments in the labor market in general, and the Saudi labor market in particular.
The department seeks to attract distinguished faculty members to enhance the quality of the educational process. The department’s plans and programs focus on achieving the highest standards of quality and strive to apply quality standards in fulfillment of the university’s requirements to obtain institutional accreditation.
