The Hong Kong Polytechnic University ranks first globally in Tourism and Hospitality Management according to the Shanghai Ranking of Universities 2022. The university has maintained global excellence in hospitality education for over 40 years, establishing itself as a leading center for tourism and hospitality education and research.

In line with the commitment of University of Tabuk to academic quality, excellence, and enhanced learning outcomes, the College of Tourism and Hospitality has established a strategic partnership with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the following areas:

  • Development of academic and professional programs accredited by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
  • Training of college students at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
  • Hosting visiting faculty members from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

2- Red Sea Development 

Red Sea Global is developing unique tourism destinations along the Red Sea coast, such as “The Red Sea Destination” and “AMAALA.” It is one of the flagship giga-projects of Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the national economy. These projects contribute to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a global tourism destination by offering luxury tourism programs and unique, tailor-made experiences for visitors.

The Red Sea Destination is one of the world’s hidden natural treasures, characterized by exceptional ecological diversity. It is being developed across an area of 28,000 km² between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh on the western coast of Saudi Arabia. The destination includes an archipelago of over 90 islands, towering mountains, dormant volcanoes, and multiple archaeological sites. AMAALA is also being developed as a unique destination offering unprecedented levels of luxury combined with wellness experiences, personalized journeys, and opportunities for self-discovery.

Red Sea Global is strongly committed to sustainability, adopting an innovative approach from design and development through to operations, ensuring the enhancement and preservation of the natural environment for future generations.

The company also emphasizes social sustainability by supporting local community development, providing quality educational and employment opportunities for residents, and preserving the cultural and historical heritage of the Red Sea and AMAALA regions.

In recognition of the importance of this mega-project, University of Tabuk has established a strategic partnership with Red Sea Global. As a result, the College of Tourism and Hospitality launched the “Red Sea Hospitality Leaders Program” in collaboration with the company to prepare and employ national talent in the tourism sector. The program runs for five academic semesters, after which students receive an Intermediate Diploma qualifying them to work at Red Sea Global or its partners.
 

3-  Ministry of Tourism ​

Ministry of Tourism (Saudi Arabia) works to achieve sustainable development in the tourism sector through regulating programs, activities, and initiatives, supporting effective partnerships, developing national human capital, and creating new job opportunities for Saudi citizens in alignment with the Kingdom’s vision and status.

The College of Tourism and Hospitality at University of Tabuk, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, aims to strengthen collaboration between the academic and government sectors to develop the tourism industry. This is achieved by enhancing students’ skills and knowledge, encouraging engagement with employment opportunities in the tourism sector, contributing to effective policy development, and elevating the Kingdom’s position as a leading global tourism destination attractive to both domestic and international visitors.
