The Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit is responsible for the following tasks:

1. Preparing and implementing the College’s Quality Assurance Plan.

2. Designing and implementing programs that promote a culture of quality among College stakeholders.

3. Contributing to the provision of data and information required for the preparation, development, and evaluation of the College’s plans and programs.

4. Participating in the preparation and implementation of the College’s strategic plan.

5. Applying the regulations, controls, procedures, and standards required to obtain local and international academic accreditation, and monitoring their continuous implementation within the College.

6. Verifying the application of quality assurance and academic accreditation systems, regulations, and standards across educational, administrative, organizational, and technical areas, and ensuring their sustained implementation.

7. Preparing a comprehensive guide for quality assurance and academic accreditation within the College in light of leading local and international practices.

8. Working toward obtaining and maintaining local and international academic accreditation, while implementing quality standards and requirements across educational, administrative, organizational, and technical domains.

9. Continuously monitoring distinguished practices in the field of quality assurance and academic accreditation, including policies, regulations, standards, tools, and technologies, and preparing reports that include developmental recommendations for the College.

10. Proposing institutions, universities, and colleges with which the College may collaborate, form alliances, or establish partnerships in the field of quality assurance and academic accreditation.

11. Recommending specialized centers in quality assurance and academic accreditation whose expertise and services may support the College in obtaining academic accreditation.

12. Recommending appropriate academic accreditation bodies for the College after thorough study and comparison of available alternatives, in alignment with the College’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

13. Proposing standards and tools for evaluating the performance of academic and administrative units in the field of quality assurance and academic accreditation, and following up on their adoption.

14. Continuously monitoring the performance of academic and administrative units in quality assurance and academic accreditation, and preparing reports that include developmental recommendations.

15. Proposing the establishment of an integrated database for quality assurance and academic accreditation, including the collection, processing, and continuous updating of relevant data.

16. Participating in the development of standards, tools, and mechanisms for performance evaluation and measuring the College’s achievements.

17. Coordinating with the University’s Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation on matters that support the College in achieving high standards in quality assurance and academic accreditation.

18. Submitting reports to the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation on all College activities and achievements related to quality assurance and academic accreditation.

19. Reviewing matters referred to the Unit by the Dean of the College, completing related transactions, and carrying out any additional tasks assigned to the Unit through the relevant Vice Deanship.

20. Maintaining all Unit records, including meeting minutes and related documentation, and providing copies to the Head of the Unit.
