College of Tourism and Hospitality Implements an Awareness Program on Health in the Tourism Work Environment
The College of Tourism and Hospitality organized an awareness program titled “Health in the Tourism Work Environment,” aimed at enhancing students’ health awareness and preparing them for work in a sector that requires high physical and mental readiness. This initiative comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to bridge academic learning with the actual demands of the labor market.
The program addressed the importance of applying occupational health and safety standards in tourism establishments and introduced best practices for maintaining public health in work environments such as hotels, resorts, and restaurants. It also highlighted methods for preventing fatigue and managing work-related stress, contributing to improved performance efficiency and service quality.
The program was attended by a number of specialized physicians from Al Wajh Hospital, who provided a practical explanation of first aid basics and how to handle emergency situations in the workplace. In addition, they offered guidance and practical demonstrations of simple office exercises to help relieve muscle strain and reduce the effects of prolonged sitting during working hours.
This program reflects the College of Tourism and Hospitality’s commitment to preparing qualified national talents who possess both health awareness and professional competence, enabling them to work efficiently in dynamic and diverse tourism environments.
