The Academic and Psychological Counseling Advisory Unit is responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Monitoring the preparation and updating of the academic advising record for each student.
  2. Assisting students in cases of difficulty with course registration or scheduling conflicts.
  3. Closely monitoring students’ academic performance in registered courses and reviewing reports submitted by academic advising committees.
  4. Organizing and delivering general lectures on study skills and academic achievement.
  5. Receiving and handling special cases related to students’ psychological or social issues, evaluating and documenting such cases, and resolving them or referring them to specialized external authorities in accordance with applicable regulations.
  6. Providing direct supervision of academic advising processes across departments, particularly for special cases (medical, psychological, social, and similar), and evaluating them periodically.
  7. Maintaining all committee records, including minutes, and providing copies to the committee chair.
  8. Reviewing matters referred to the Unit by the Dean of the College and completing related transactions, as well as performing any additional tasks assigned through the relevant Vice Deanship.
  9. Submitting a quarterly report to the Dean of the College covering all Unit activities.
