Developing and presenting specialized research and projects, providing training courses and consulting services in the field of renewable energy and environmental technologies for the governmental and private sectors and the local community.

The center seeks to be a pioneer and distinguished globally in the research and development of renewable energy systems and environmental technologies in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

• Cooling Photovoltaic Panels Using Camel Fat-Based Phase

Accredited by King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) as DG Training Centre.

• Developing the Automatic Cleaning and monitoring system product for solar panels.
• Using Image Processing techniques to enhance the performance of solar panels.
• Investigating camel fat as a potential Phase Change Material (PCM) for cooling solar panels.
• Agrivoltaics: Sustainable Agriculture and Renewable Energy Production
• Biomonitoring of Environmental Contaminants in the Northern Red Sea.     
• Regulation of Mitochondrial Function by Signalling Molecules in Inducing Resilience to Multiple Environmental Stresses in some important Crop Plants of Saudi Arabia. 

• Digital Twin for Sustainable Crop Management in KSA Greenhouses.       

Agreements

• Signed a memorandum of cooperation with King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) to host stations for monitoring and measure solar and wind energy sources.
•  Signed memorandum with Saline Water Conversation Corporation (SWCC) to install Automatic Cleaning and Monitoring System for solar panels at AlKhafji Solar Farm.
