Word of The Director

Praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God. After that, I am pleased, in my name and on behalf of my fellow members of the teaching staff, to welcome you to the website of the Statistics Department at the College of Science at the University of Tabuk. I hope that you will like it and that you will find something useful in it.

The Department of Statistics is one of the departments of the College of Science, which was established in the academic year 1431/1432 AH. The department awards the degree of Bachelor of Science in Statistics.

The study in the Department of Statistics focuses on various branches of statistics, such as applied statistics, mathematical statistics, population statistics, operations research, and analysis and interpretation of data, due to the university and college's keenness to provide distinguished academic programs that contribute to the provision of qualified human resources that help in achieving the requirements of the local and regional labor market and contribute to Achieving the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.

The website aims to introduce the Department of Statistics, the plans and courses it offers, the scientific research and research projects of faculty members, as well as the scientific activities of the department.

The department also provides scientific supervision of all statistics courses taught in the various university departments, such as departments of the College of Science, departments of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, departments of the College of Business Administration, and departments of the College of Engineering. And the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and nursing.

We hope that this website will be a window to highlight the scientific and research development of the Department of Statistics, and that it will contribute to the efforts made by the university towards excellence and global leadership.

Through these objectives, we strive to achieve the highest standards of academic and research performance and community service, while fostering an inspiring educational environment and a vibrant university community.

First Objective

Prepare statisticians who contribute to the programs and plans of sustainable development in Tabuk region and the Kingdom to keep pace with vision 2030.

Second Objective

Promote an effective scientific culture in the community in the field of Statistics.

Third Objective

Develop methods and means of teaching to ensure the quality of performance and

outputs of the Statistics program.

Fourth Objective

Achieve excellence in statistical science and production of scientific research to serve the community.
