About Department of Physics

Physics is the study of the universe and how it works. It explains the fundamentals of the universe, its components, the forces interacting between them, and the effects of these forces. The Department of Physics was established with the founding of the College of Science in 1427 AH. The department offers a bachelor's degree, teaching fundamental theories in physics as well as modern developments in physics through theoretical lectures and practical experiments. The Physics Department is constantly advancing in the field of education and scientific research, with approximately 80 undergraduate students graduating annually. The continuous development and growth of the faculty has a tremendous impact on research activities, with faculty members participating in national and international research groups.
