A scene from the opening of the Third International Conference of the Gulf Cooperation Council on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM 2026) by the President of the University of Tabuk, Professor Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ghamdi, and in the presence of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
The conference featured speakers and experts from around the world, representing a select group of academics, practitioners, and researchers in the fields of industrial engineering and operations management.
Approximately 500 scientific papers from various countries were presented, in addition to workshops held over three days.
The 3rd International Conference of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) featured four scientific sessions that explored the latest trends in simulation and digital twin technologies, industrial engineering applications in efficient human resource design, sustainability concepts in the industrial environment, and preparing future engineers to align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The sessions discussed the role of industrial engineering in employing machine learning and its applications in the aviation sector, reviewed digital technologies and solutions in the fields of health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE), and highlighted neuro-adaptive technologies and innovation in personalized education from an industrial engineering perspective.
