The Acquisitions Unit is considered one of the core units within the library system, as it is responsible for developing and updating the library’s collections to meet the needs of its beneficiaries, including university staff and students. The unit works to provide information resources in various formats, whether printed or electronic, ensuring access to the latest editions across different academic disciplines.
The unit also oversees procurement and supply processes, coordinating with relevant entities and publishers, in addition to assessing the needs of academic departments and recommending appropriate titles to support teaching and research activities. The Acquisitions Unit contributes to enhancing the quality of the library’s knowledge resources and ensures their continuous development in line with scientific advancements.
