Word of The Director

In the name of God, and may blessings and peace be upon the most honorable messengers, our Master, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and upon all his family and companions,

On my own behalf and on behalf of my colleagues, faculty members and all the department's employees, I welcome you, hoping that you will find in these pages the useful information you seek about the department, its objectives, educational programs and research activities.

And based on the Kingdom's vision 2030, which aspires to build a knowledge-based economy based on development and innovation supported by scientific research, it has become urgent and necessary to employ various disciplines in chemistry to contribute to this ambitious vision in various environmental, medical and industrial fields, and given the advantage of the Tabuk region's location and its proximity to the region. NEOM (Future City) and in view of the presence of a number of branches of the university and based on the university's participation in providing services to the community in various fields, the role of the Department of Chemistry emerges with its scientifically and educationally qualified cadres and its capabilities to contribute to construction and development.

In order to raise the level of the student and achieve development, quality and taking into account the requirements of the Saudi labor market, the department is working to develop its academic programs at the bachelor’s stage and work is underway to develop a master’s program in line with the next phase.

Head of the Department of Chemistry

Dr. Omar Mutlaq Alatawi
