​​​​​​​​​​The Department of Management Information Systems was established in the academic year 1432/1433 AH (2011/2012 AD), following the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may he rest in peace – on the decisions of the Higher Education Council during its 66th session held on 18/11/1432 AH. These decisions included the establishment of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Tabuk, which comprises five academic departments, including the Department of Management Information Systems. The establishment of the department reflects the college's commitment to offering high-quality and distinguished academic programs, conducting advanced research and studies in the field of Management Information Systems, and preparing qualified human resources capable of meeting the needs of the local and regional labor markets.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Tabuk. We take pride in the significance of this discipline, which serves as a cornerstone for organizations across various sectors. Our mission is to develop highly qualified national professionals both academically and practically who can keep pace with the rapid advancements in information systems and contribute meaningfully to the realization of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and comprehensive national development goals.The Bachelor's program in Management Information Systems is one of the pioneering programs at the college, launched in the academic year 1432/1433 AH (2011/2012 AD). The department is proud to include a distinguished faculty committed to advancing education, research, and continuous improvement.We are steadily progressing toward achieving academic accreditation at both the national and international levels, guided by a clear vision, an ambitious mission, and deeply rooted values. The department is committed to motivating innovation, social engagement, and promoting faculty-driven research that addresses contemporary challenge

Objectives

G1. Create a student-centered academic environment equipping MIS graduates with knowledge, skills, values, and competence for the evolving business landscape.

G2. Employ innovative teaching methods and enhance curricula to ensure alignment with labour market demands, encouraging creativity and adaptability among students.

G3. Promote faculty-driven research to address contemporary challenges, encourage innovation, and contribute to advancements in Management Information Systems.

G4. Encourage partnerships with community stakeholders to promote social responsibility and meaningful societal contribution.
