1- Hong Kong Polytechnic University

 

Hong Kong Polytechnic University occupies the first rank globally in tourism and hospitality management specialization according to the Shanghai University Rankings 2022. For more than 40 years, the university has maintained global excellence in hospitality education. As such, the university has become a center of excellence for tourism education, hospitality and scientific research.

Based on the keenness of the University of Tabuk to achieve the quality of its academic programs, excellence and the improvement of its outcomes, the university, represented by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, has established a strategic partnership with Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the following areas:

  • Attainment of academic and professional programs accredited by Hong Kong Polytechnic University
  • Training at Hong Kong Polytechnic University
  • Visiting faculty members from Hong Kong Polytechnic University

 

 

2- Red Sea Development 

 

The Red Sea project, considered the most ambitious project on the Red Sea coasts, extends over 28,000 square kilometers of pristine land and lakes. It includes an archipelago containing 90 islands, mountain canyons, dormant volcanoes and historical, cultural and heritage monuments; a project that will offer hotels, residential units, and entertainment projects.

 

Believing in the importance of the project and the need to provide outstanding academic outcomes, the University of Tabuk has signed a strategic partnership with the Red Sea Development Company. As a result of this continuous work, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, in cooperation with the Red Sea Development Company, launched a vocational training program to qualify competent students to work in the tourism sector.  The program runs for eight semesters, after which students will receive an intermediate diploma that allows them to work for the Red Sea Development Company or one of its partners. ​



The  Ministry of Tourism works towards achieving sustainable development in the tourism sector by organizing various programs, activities, and initiatives. It actively supports effective partnerships and enhances the national human capabilities, seeking to create new job opportunities for Saudi citizens in alignment with the Kingdom's status and vision.

The College of Tourism and Hospitality at the University of Tabuk, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, aims to strengthen cooperation between the academic and governmental sectors. Their goal is to develop the tourism sector by fostering students' skills and knowledge, motivating them to leverage employment opportunities within the tourism industry. Additionally, they contribute to the formulation of effective policies to enhance this vital sector, elevating the Kingdom's status to become a globally attractive destination for local and international visitors and tourists.
