The Contracts and Projects Unit is one of the pivotal units at the Research and Consulting Institute at the University of Tabuk. It plays a key role in managing, organizing, and implementing the Institute’s projects and services, while ensuring the integrity of the related contractual and financial procedures, thereby enhancing performance efficiency and resource sustainability.
The Unit works to prepare and develop proposals for projects and consulting, research, and training services, conduct the necessary studies to support decision-making, and transform opportunities into implementable projects.
The Unit is also responsible for coordinating with relevant entities, foremost among them the Financial Affairs Department, to prepare estimated budgets and follow up on documents and information related to existing and future projects.
It undertakes the preparation and drafting of contracts, memoranda of understanding, and agreements with government and private entities, in accordance with approved rules and regulations, ensuring the protection of the Institute’s rights and the commitment of the contracting parties.
The Unit supervises the organization of collection and deposit processes, follows up on revenues related to the Institute’s projects and services, and maintains continuous coordination with the relevant financial units.
It also prepares and maintains records and files related to projects, and documents all relevant information and materials to ensure ease of reference and sound governance of their management.
The Unit contributes to preparing periodic and annual reports on the projects and services provided, analyzing financial and operational performance, and submitting them to senior management to support planning and development.
Furthermore, the Unit follows up on the implementation of projects and programs, ensuring their adherence to timelines, contractual terms, and approved standards, and taking the necessary corrective actions when needed.
It is also responsible for preparing the justifications for disbursing entitlements and costs associated with projects, and following up on their approval in accordance with applicable regulations.
The Unit is committed to ensuring that all its activities are aligned with approved policies and strategic plans, as well as relevant rules and regulations.
It also completes administrative transactions related to projects and contracts and follows them up until completion in accordance with official procedures.
