The Department of Biology at the College of Science invited a global expert in Environmental Toxicity and Marine Sciences. As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering international scientific collaboration and advancing research excellence, the Department of Biology at the College of Science was honored to host Professor Emma Martinez Lopez, a renowned expert in Environmental Toxicology and Marine Sciences from the University of Murcia in Spain. The event took place on Tuesday September 30,2025, in the conference room at the College of Science building.
During the session, Professor Martinez Lopez presented cutting-edge research and recent scientific development in the fields of environmental pollution and marine toxicity. She also shed light on pressing global environmental challenges and explored innovative strategies to mitigate them through advanced scientific inquiry.
The session witnessed active participation from key academic leaders, including the Head of the Biology Department (Dr. Ra'fat Affan), the Vice Dean of Research and Graduate Studies (Prof. Iman Alamry), the Supervisor of the Scientific Research Unit at the College of Science (Dr. Mohammed Arab) and a distinguished group of faculty members from the department. Lively discussion and engaged dialogue marked the event, reflecting the department's strong commitment to expanding its scientific outlook and exchange with leading universities worldwide.
