This laboratory focuses on studies of the biology, ecology, and behavior of public health insects and agricultural pests, and on finding effective and environmentally friendly control methods. The research laboratory also focuses on developing modern techniques for identifying and classifying insects and the pathogens (parasites and viruses) they transmit, and on finding safe and modern methods for controlling disease vectors and agricultural pests.
