Responsibilities of the Unit

  1. Prepare and implement graduate programs (Higher Diploma, Master’s, PhD, and others).
  2. Develop plans for graduate programs in line with community needs to help address shortages of specialists and distinguished researchers.
  3. Develop and update graduate programs in accordance with international standards, keeping pace with advancements and meeting community needs.
  4. Develop the infrastructure, administrative systems, and technical support to enhance the quality of graduate programs.
  5. Prepare admission requirements for graduate programs.
  6. Supervise admission examinations for new applicants to graduate programs.
  7. Provide proposals and recommendations aimed at improving the performance of graduate programs in the college.
  8. Review matters referred to the unit by the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Development, provide opinions regarding them, and submit the necessary recommendations.
  9. Prepare an annual report on the unit’s activities and submit it to the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Development.
  10. Propose the college scholarship policy and follow up on its implementation.
  11. Follow up on procedures related to scholarship affairs and sponsored students within the college.
  12. Assist teaching assistants and lecturers in applying for scholarships and obtaining the necessary approvals.
  13. Provide guidance to teaching assistants and lecturers in selecting universities and graduate programs inside and outside the Kingdom.
  14. Supervise and follow up on the status of teaching assistants and lecturers in the college, in addition to the college’s scholarship students abroad.
  15. Follow up on student research projects and provide workshops, technical support, and consultation regarding project selection, supervisors, publication, and research quality.
  16. Follow up on scientific research activities within the college for faculty members and equivalent staff, and prepare and update the college research plan while monitoring its implementation.
  17. Prepare studies, regulations, and policies necessary for organizing and developing scientific research within the college.
  18. Participate in preparing studies related to the needs and equipment required for research laboratories.
  19. Prepare the necessary statistics to monitor publication and scientific research activities within the college.
