Coordinate academic affairs for Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students.
Coordinate the college academic schedules, including course registration, add/drop procedures, deferment, interruption of study, withdrawal and reinstatement of enrollment, deprivation, and student transfer procedures.
Coordinate examination and invigilation schedules, monitor the proper conduct of examinations and submission of results, preserve examination papers after completion, and review excuses for absence from examinations.
Receive new students, review records of students expected to graduate, and consider excuses submitted by students for absence from study in accordance with university rules and regulations.
Coordinate with the Deanship of Admission and Registration on all matters related to the academic affairs of program students.
Prepare and periodically update the Student Handbook to include the college program study plans, internal regulations—if any—and materials related to university study and examination regulations.
Develop a mechanism to support academically struggling students and submit related recommendations to the Vice Dean of the College.
Establish and publicly announce a clear mechanism for receiving student complaints and implement it after approval by the Dean of the College.
Coordinate the Peer Teaching Program, receive applications from students wishing to participate, implement approved college policies regarding the distribution of hours and grades, ensure students’ active participation, develop the program as needed, and prepare a semiannual report on the program.
Review matters referred to the unit by the Vice Dean of the College, provide opinions regarding them, and submit the necessary recommendations.
