About Unit

It is an administrative unit concerned with activities that are financed outside the funds allocated to the university in the state budget, such as: grants, wills, endowments, rent of university property and what results from disposing of it, in addition to the revenues resulting from carrying out research projects, studies or scientific services provided to others under the supervision of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education And the Research and Consulting Institute, the concerned colleges, and the new units, centers and departments to be established for this purpose, and this includes parallel education programs, affiliation, diplomas, consultations, contract research, and so on according to the revenues contained in paragraphs (b, c, d) of the regulations governing financial affairs at the university.

The Self-Funding Unit at the University of Tabuk looks forward to being a competitor to the best financing institutions with a distinguished balance in the field of supporting research projects and academic activities, and providing executive support for social policies based on the background of scientific studies.

The unit also aspires to play a positive role in developing the resources of mankind working in this field, and qualifying it for competing cadres and expertise in this field.

The strength of the mission of the Self-Funding Unit at the University of Tabuk is to work on community service, and through the optimal employment of the available investments internally and harnessing them to support research projects and scientific, training and educational services, and to play a positive role in educational and scientific projects to advance the educational process in the context of sustainable development issues.

Since its inception, the University of Tabuk has adopted the principle of taking a summary of the management theories reached and pursued by the best educational institutions in the world, as it recognized the university as a productive and development institution, as it is concerned with providing society with the expertise, skills and energies necessary for its advancement and elevation, to be worthy of keeping pace with the relentless efforts made by the Kingdom To move forward towards achieving the appropriate international position and bridging the scientific and creative gap between the developing East and the developed West.

And since financing for any institution or project is the fuel that drives the production process, and it is the cornerstone on which the supportive energy rests to achieve the best outputs for the production process, the theories of economics in the field of investment referred to self-financing as one of the most important internal sources of financing that secure the project to employ a group The resources available internally, and investing it in a productive cycle that serves the objectives of the institution or the project without resorting to external sources.

Accordingly, the Director of the University of Tabuk issued a decision at the beginning of the year 1431 AH to establish a self-financing unit that links its work directly with the happiness of the university vice president, which can be defined according to what was stated in the decision to establish it as:
