​The Department of Allied Medical Sciences was established in the Community College of Tabuk in 1418 AH, since the establishment of the college, which graduates students with an associate’s degree after the end of the five-semester study period. The Department of Allied Medical Sciences graduates students with the specialization of medical records, as the medical records specialization is one of the new specialties that take great importance in the medical sector, and the importance of medical records specialization stems from the preservation and care of medical information that is the basis for medical care, and takes great importance in Field of medical education. The Department of Medical Sciences keeps pace with the development in the medical sector in general, and the development in the specialty of medical records in particular, through the development of study plans in the program, as work began on the new study plans at the beginning of the academic year 1429/1430 AH. The award of the participant’s degree in the medical records qualifies the student from progressing to the job market strongly through multiple options, which include: hospitals, primary care centers, specialized clinics, medical research centers such as local and international health organizations.

Objectives

1. Introduce students to medical and scientific terms in medical records.
2. Preparing students for administrative performance and preparing them for the ability to work in the various medical records departments at a high level.
3. Preparing and qualifying technicians equipped with scientific, practical and administrative expertise in the field of medical records.
4. Enabling students to deal with the legal and statistical aspects of medical records, as well as organizing the medical records department.
5. Obtaining international and local recognition for excellence in allied medical sciences.
6. Providing the community with qualified technicians in auxiliary medical sciences to achieve international standards in health systems.
7. Achieving international standards for teaching allied medical sciences majors in the Kingdom.​
