Drug-induced thrombocytopenia (DITP) is a rare but serious condition caused by antibodies targeting platelets. Ceftriaxone has been associated with the formation of these antibodies, which can result in severe thrombocytopenia and complicate clinical outcomes. Early recognition and prompt discontinuation of the drug are crucial to prevent complications and ensure effective treatment, particularly in high-risk patients.
