About Saudi Medical Journal for Students (MET)

The Saudi Medical Journal for Students (SMJS) in 2019 as the official journal of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tabuk. It is the first peer-reviewed Student Medical Journal (SMJ)  in the Gulf region and only one of the 18 SMJs at that time. From its beginning, it registered with the Saudi International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN) Agency and the King Fahad National Library ( ISSN: 1658-8274 Print; 1658-8282 Electronic); and was recognized by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) for student publications. SMJS publishes biannually original (original research papers, review articles, and case reports) and non-original (feature/perspective articles, editorials, opinions, and reviews) contributions from health care students (Medicine, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Science, Biological Sciences). The first issue (Volume 1 Issue 1) was published in January 2020. ​

SMJS-MET Unit

SMJS-MET Unit is the umbrella organization for the official publications of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tabuk, established in 2022 by Dr. Marai M. Alamri, Dean of Medicine, Univerity of Tabuk and Dr. Md. Tanveer Raza, Editor-in-Chief, SMJS-MET. For more than six years, the Faculty of Medicine has played a vital role in linking health care workers and the larger public through its various Health publications, Workshops and Seminars, Awareness Campaigns, Infographics, Round Table discussions, and numerous other activities. ​
