Dr Panneerselvam Chellasamy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Tabuk He has more than 5 years of experience in R&D related to phytochemistry and nanomaterials for insect pest management He obtained his BSc, MSc and M Phil degrees from Madurai Kamaraj University, India and PhD degree from Bharathiar University, India He has won gold medal for best PhD thesis in Zoology He worked as UGC-Post-Doctoral fellow (PDF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at DRDO-BU Campus and has published over 75 peer-reviewed papers, 10 Book Chapters He is peer-reviewer of many International Reputed Journals including Chemosphere, Acta Tropica, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B: Biology etc, He has completed 2 major projects at University of Tabuk

Charcterization and biotoxicity of Rhazya stricta and Artemisia herba alba synthesized silver nanoparticles: A recent eco-friendly approach for mosquito control funded by Deanship of Research, University of Tabuk (2016-2017) Grant No: S0068-1437 The research aims to explore bio-fabrication of metal silver nanomaterials using Rhazya stricta and Artemisia herba alba extract against deadly mosquito vectors and microbial pathogens The phytochemical profile of the R stricta and Artemisia herba alba extracts was studied by HPLC-MS and 1H NMR Overall, the present study highlighted that R stricta and Artemisia herba alba fabricated AgNPs could be a lead material for the management of mosquito vector and microbial pathogens control
