I am a Reader in Sociolinguistics, I am particularly interested in the ways in which spoken language varies between individuals and groups of speakers, and the role that language variation plays in the construction and performance of identity This involves the study of accents and dialects

- Teaching experience for many years in different departments - Teaching many subjects inside and outside the English Department - Participation in the presidency of the final exams controls for the previous years Supervising the learning outcomes measurement test • Rapporteur of the Graduate Studies Committee • Carrying out some checks on the Department of Languages and Translation, in addition to the preparatory year • Coordinator for an introduction to linguistics, which includes following up the course of courses, completing the required files, and submitting proposals for updating and developing courses • Member of the Committee for Programs and Study Plans for the Department of Languages and Translation • Member of the academic accreditation team in charge of preparing the self-study report for the English language bachelors program in the Department of Languages and Translation • Participation in the ICLE Program, Department of Languages and Translation
