Dr Supina Sapri Djalam is an experienced academician and researcher specializing in hospitality and tourism, with a focus on rural tourism destinations, environmental behavior, and community empowerment She holds a doctoral degree in hospitality and tourism from Taylor’s University, Malaysia, awarded through the Taylor’s Research Excellence Scholarship, as well as dual master’s degrees in international tourism management from Burapha University, Thailand, and Trisakti Institute of Tourism, Indonesia Additionally, Dr Supina is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) by the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and a Certified Tour Planner from the National Professional Certification Agency in Indonesia
Currently serving as an assistant professor at the University of Tabuk in Saudi Arabia, Dr Supina has held various leadership roles, including associate professor and head of academic 2(a) at Universitas Bunda Mulia Her expertise extends across curriculum development and academic management, with a strong focus on hospitality, tourism, communication, psychology, and language studies programs
Dr Supina is also the head of the tourism study program development forum of the Association of Indonesian Tourism Tertiary Education Institutions and an active member of the ASEAN Tourism Research Association (ATRA) She is a sought-after guest speaker, delivering lectures and training sessions globally She has contributed to shaping key tourism policies in Indonesia
