About the Scholarship Unit

The "Scholarship and Training Unit" was established as a unit of the Agency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, to take care of scholarship and training affairs, and to serve the faculty scholars and trainees at home and abroad, in order to facilitate and follow up the scholarships of teaching assistants and lecturers to local and international universities of academic and research reputations to obtain higher degrees and gain knowledge and experience And developing their educational and research skills.
The Scholarship and Training Department follows up on the scholarship or trainee at the mission headquarters and knows the extent of academic and academic progress in order to achieve the desired goal of his scholarship, through various reports from external supervisors and cultural attachés, which are received by the unit from the Deanship of Graduate Studies.
Consequently, the unit is responsible for following up everything related to the scholarship student during his stay at the mission headquarters, including the proposal to extend the scholarship or change the specialization, and other procedures related to the scholarship’s matters are all done in coordination with the concerned departments in the college.

Follow-up of the scholarship status through the annual reports and provide the necessary information to the departments to build a strategic plan in line with the Al Majmaah University strategic plan and prepare the faculty members, lecturers and new repeaters for the educational process.
Objectives

The Scholarship and Training Unit does the following:
  • Follow-up everything related to the scholarship student, externally and internally.
  • Recommend what the unit deems appropriate in light of the annual scholarship plan.
  • Proposing the general policy for scholarships and training after coordination with the various departments in the college.
  • Proposing the annual plan for scholarship and training of college employees after coordination with the relevant authorities in the college and submitting it to the college council to take the necessary action
  • Recommending the extension or termination of scholarships or training based on the proposal of department boards and based on reports received from external supervisors and cultural attachés.
  • Proposing the annual plan for training new faculty members, lecturers and teaching assistants to prepare them for the educational process, in coordination with the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.
  • Preparing a detailed annual report on the status of scholarships and training at the departmental level and submitting it to the College Board for consideration and action.

Unit tasks

The Scholarship and Training Unit shall do the following:
Address all departments to provide the unit with the following:
  1.  
    • A list of all the delegates abroad, whether to fulfill the language, masters, or doctoral requirement Reports of the external supervisors on scholarships.
    • A list of all faculty members and lecturers, the department’s proposal for the department’s strategic plan for the next five years, and its conformity with the university’s strategic plan.
    • All students' files.


Unit plan for next year


The scholarship unit seeks to hold special lectures to educate the scholarship students and introduce them to the most important matters they need in the pre-scholarship and post-scholarship phase, and to receive faculty members coming from foreign missions, lecturers and teaching assistants who were newly appointed, and to prepare them for the educational process in coordination with the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.
