Title of Research: Analyzing data of the LABM monitor at the phase one SuperKEKB accelerator machine study period, and preparing the LABM readout electronics system for SuperKEKB phase II data taking, at KEK center, Japan KEKB e+e- accelerator, at KEK center, Japa, luminosity was and still the highest luminosity in the world ever achieved and being upgrade to SuperKEKB to deliver more luminosity (about 40 times) Although, the machine will have diagnostic tools to monitor the beam, it is important that multiple tools are used to accurately provide the necessary information to the accelerator experts in real time Therefore, a monitoring tool where the effect of the Electro-Magnetic field of one beam on the other one, when they are about to collide at the Interaction Point, results in a radiation known as "Beamstrahlung" which carries the information about the beam properties was proposed Beamstrahlung from beam-beam interaction was found for the first time at the Stanford Linear Collider (SLC) [1] using electron/positron beams The importance of this monitoring tool is to help the accelerator group to achieve the highest possible luminosity by adjusting the beam parameters based on the measurements performed by this tool The adjustments can be in the form of shifts in the x and y directions, the relative rotations and the beam spread As a consequence, Belle II experiment will be able to collect a lot of data in a shorter time period, allowing for the physics measurements to be performed with a smaller statistical uncertainty
Title of Research: SuperKEKB accelerator Phase II data taking with the Large Angle Beamstrahlung Monitor (LABM) and Belle experiment data analysis Our main objectives within this project is to prepare the Large Angle Beamstrahlung Monitor (LABM) for SuperKEKB accelerator 2018 data taking that was scheduled to start on February or March 2018 The other important goal of this project is to analyze previous data of Belle experiment We are glad that all of our objectives had been fulfilled especially publishing results of a Belle data analysis topic Within LABM group we agreed to meet at KEK center around February 22, 2018 to work on commissioning the LABM for SuperKEKB accelerator 2018 operation We will as well discuss here the upgrade of the LABM readout software (which is the task of our group at the University of Tabuk) This will be in the methodology section and data analysis will be in results section
