About

The  Department of Education Technologies is established  to be one of the educational supportive departments. It teaches some of  the (compulsory  educational requirements  courses) . Before, the Department was one of the pillars of the (Teachers College), as it used to teach  four educational  courses, after restructuring the Faculty , the Department offers some courses in  Special Education Department, similarly, in  the Educational Diploma Program, moreover the Department covers  some courses in the Masters of Curriculum program. As  a sequence of the  reduction of special education courses, the Department becomes involved in teaching (skill requirement courses) in the general preparation attached to the Faculty of Education and Arts.
Based on the forementioned details  and the current situation of the Department and the needs accessible of  the University ,the Department is keen  to provide eminence programs that contribute to achieving the faculty’s vision and objectives by reformulating the Department and providing academic programs that subsidizes the progress of the educational process. Likewise, adopting distinguished  services that contribute to augment the role of technology and its employment in the educational process. Furthermore, preparing  educational and qualified  members with outstanding technical efficiency, ultimately through providing  distinguished programs at the master’s level and a specialized diploma in Educational Designing .
    
After espousing  the perception  of the amplification of the Department, the department’s strategic and operational plan will be built in a modern trend to achieve  the roles assigned to it. Thus, the Department be capable  to accomplish the progress processes of the faculty  and university.

Likewise, adopting respectable  services that contribute to augment the role of technology and its employment in the educational process furthermore, in preparing  educational and pedagogical members with outstanding technical efficiency.

​Inventive pioneering in  Educational Technologies for the purpose of verification  and application   of digital and technical transformation in education. Moreover ,  improving  learning outcomes by  using scientific methods and methodology.


Mission

​The Department of Education Technologies seeks to have the effective activation and application of educational technologies.  It also aspires  distinction  in formulating competent academic members  in education and training programs. Specifically ,  to be typified by  technical competence that contribute to enhance the process of  education  by utilizing educational and informational technology. As well as  the using  of technological means with high proficiency.  ​

Objectives


The Department of Education Technologies aims at 
1-  Providing university members  with the basics  and principles of educational technologies and coping  them with  the new  educational system.

2- Spreading the concept and culture of educational design and its importance in achieving learning outcomes and improving the educational process.

3- Developing the experience  of workers in the educational  process through: Providing expertise and advice to educational institutions.
 4- Carrying out   training courses of educational technologies and participating in E-learning projects. 
5 -  Carrying out  workshops to implement and apply the steps of pedagogical  instruction design.
 6- Preparing a generation of promising educational researchers, that can  contribute in  solving educational and  pedagogical  problems and  enhancing  the educational process as well.

 7- Providing technical assistance to the  educational institutions and others corporation with the educational and pedagogical technologies  in Tabuk region generally  inside and outside the borders of Tabuk University. 
 8- Enhancing and supporting  the  sustainable learning and distance learning programs in the University .

Associate Professors

​​​​Department ​ChairpersonAssociate preofessor of Education Techecgnolgy, chairperson of Education Technology Department, and chairperson of Curriculum and Study Plans Unit at Education and Arts Colloge in Univeresity of Tabuk. Hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana State University 2014, in the track of Educational Technology, and got Instructional Design a Certificate in from Indiana State University, USA, 2014.Servied as a part-time consultant in a number of agencies in Saudi Arabia to provide my experiences in e-learning and ensure the quality of e-learning. Also, I have voluntary training and scientific contributions published on my sites.Reviewer in a number of scientific journals, including some journals in ISI and Scopus, and provided more than 35 training programs, and attended more than 100 training hours. I have more than 10 articles and scientific papers published in journals and conferences, and I have two research papers preparing to publish in ISI journals, with more than five articles under preparation.I have administrative experience in a number of businesses through working in a number of committees and administrative sites; where I am currently working as a president's consultant in the University of Tabuk, Secretary of the Advisory Committee at the University, and Head of the Study Programs and Plans Unit at the College of Education and Arts.As I also worked previously as Dean of Deanship of Development and Quality, the university's official spokesman, and a member of the university's board.
