Course Details
This course seeks to introduce the student to a set of basic economic concepts that are recognized in the macroeconomic framework through the contribution of different schools of thought with a focus on Kenyan thought. The course presents ways of evaluating and measuring the overall economic activity and comparing it with the state of balance. The course also examines the main macroeconomic problems such as unemployment and inflation, as well as the main objectives and tools of monetary and monetary policies. A brief study is also conducted on the role of money, banks and some other contemporary topics.
