Functions of the Scientific Publishing Department

Functions of the Scientific Publishing Department   

 1- Carrying out all financial, administrative and service procedures related to scientific publishing.

2 - Completing all academic production authorized for publication, which is recommended by the Standing Committee for Scientific Publishing and approved by the Scientific Council.

3 - Communicating with publishing houses in order to print works approved by the Scientific Council.

4 - Preparation of contracts and models for the fees of refereeing and authoring in accordance with the resolutions of the Scientific Council.

5. Payment of the dues of the refereeing and authoring in accordance with the procedures approved by the Scientific Council.

 

6. Standardization of the design and layout of publications (e.g. line distances, font type, font size, etc.). Obtaining approval from the Scientific Council.

7. Application of approved publishing standards and rules (including the form and content of books and publications).

8- Documenting the University publications regarding scientific publishing, and preparing a directory for it.

9 - Establishing partnerships with publishing houses, printing companies and translation centers.

10- Participating in the presentation of all scientific publications in local, Arab and international exhibitions.

11 - Working to make all publications of the Student Service Center available on the main campus of the university and in the branches.

12 – Providing publications in accordance with the latest scientific publishing techniques including electronic publishing.

13- Establishing a scientific publishing website that can electronically handle all the administrative processes of the University departments.
