Speech from the Rector

Praise be to Allah and peace be upon the noblest of Allah's creation. I would like to start with a greeting of effort and productivity, full of the scent of science and knowledge, a greeting that extends the peace and mercy of Allah upon you all. It pleases the University of Tabuk to open a new horizon and to broadcast its new electronic splendor through this website which embodies its knowledge and its quest to be an oasis of science; an oasis in which ideas grow and programs become unique and views vary.

Tabuk University is upgrading its electronic portal hoping to communicate and instantly interact in a way that rises up to its objectives and your constant aspirations.

Based on all this, the University has developed this website in a new format to provide you with the necessary information.

It will give you a clear idea about the University and its different deanships, departments, units and programs.

This comes as a result of our belief in the importance of technology and its effectiveness in our time; and also because the University realizes the importance of sharing and exchanging experiences.

We realize that the ongoing communication between the elements of knowledge is the basis for achieving the University's objectives.

What humanity is witnessing these days exceeds all expectations.

This can be mainly attributed to the interaction between the different elements of the human experience by individuals, groups and nations, and which is best illustrated by websites.

Tabuk University is moving according to a developmental plan that affects all levels of work.

The University meets every rising sun with a new project that forms a building block in its construction and strives to reach uniqueness and

internationality, whether it is in the academic programs, the various specialties or the ambitious projects that the University adopts.

This is also clear in launching various graduate programs this year in different disciplines, the university's research projects and its quest to serve the local community and develop human resources; its international partnerships to meet the challenges in the most intelligent ways.

The university administration insists on benefiting from different international experiences in various scientific fields through agreements with countries like France, China, Japan, Australia and Bulgaria, also through local cooperation with governmental and private sectors and expanding higher education to include the regions under the province of Tabuk by building satellite campuses. By doing this, the university helps in building a nation with sound foundations in science and technology which maintain its position among the nations and peoples of the world, a nation whose citizens contribute to the development of all humanity. Our dreams exceed the borders of this country with its sublime message and commitment to the be defender of Islam and home for civilization.

The journey of this scientific monument is progressing in steady steps with the guidance of Allah.

It has become an example for achievements and grand leaps through various constructional projects.

The academic trend that accompanies this leap has witnessed an expansion by founding colleges, different scientific departments and increasing the number of disciplines in satellite campuses.

This is accompanied by constant attention to quality inspired by Islam and endeavors to keep up to date.

The University has always been keen on supporting quality programs and achieving international accreditation.

Concerning the vertical development, the university has launched various graduate programs and supported a number of scientific research projects. It also established the Excellence Center for Sensor Networks and Wireless/Cellular Systems.

In an effort to give equal opportunities to all  people, the University has launched the Distance Learning Program to accommodate a larger number of students.

All these achievements come as a natural and inevitable result of the effort and attention of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and in complying with his vision, that the Ministry of Higher Education follows, to grow the tree of education deeply-rooted with its branches high in the sky.
